Probably the Jarvis who was a private in Captain Presleys Gray's Company, Colonel Oldhams Regiment of Militia from Nelson County for the expedition to be carried into the Indian country under the command of General St Clair 2nd Oct 1791 deserted 31 Oct 1791

From the records, Jarvis Hougham was married in 1799 to a Rebecca...no maiden name found. She was born in 1775 and I don't know a date of death for her. Jarvis Hougham must have died after November of 1823...he is on a land sale in that month...land sold to Isaac Dungan who incidentally was the father of the Rebecca Dungan who married his nephew, Jonathan born 1803 who was the son of his brother, Aaron born 1776.
I do not believe Jarvis's wife, Rebecca, was Rebecca Dungan who married Jonathan Hougham in October of 1823. Jarvis was still alive in October of 1823.
23 Sept 1823: deed from Jarvis Hougham of Fayette County, Indiana, and wife Rebecca to Joseph Baldwin of Butler County, Ohio, for $600, 129A, part of the SW¼ S10 T14 R13E (Fayette County, Indiana, Deed Bk B, page 249).
1 Nov 1823: deed from Jarvis and Rebecca Hougham to Isaac Dungan all of Fayette County, Indiana, for $150, 40A, north side of SW ¼ S10 T14 R13E.
I will let you know if I find out any more about the Rebecca who married Jarvis. When they married in 1799, I'm fairly certain they were living in Butler County, Ohio. Their first son, William was born there in 1800. Jarvis's brother, Aaron had a son born there (Jonathan) in 1803 and his other brother, Jonathan had a daughter born there in 1805.
